THE CHALLENGE

Complex processes.
Unfamiliar language.

International customers often struggle to understand Italian service requirements, official documents and the information needed for an application. Translation pricing depends on document length and scanned files may contain no readable text.

At the same time, staff need to review incomplete submissions, manage payments and communications, and maintain accurate property listings across several service areas.

The product needed to make each customer journey simpler while retaining staff control over validation, pricing, approval and fulfilment.

THE SOLUTION

Guided self-service with
operational control.

OOItaly combines public information, customer accounts, document processing, payments, property management and administration in one service platform.

01

Multilingual services

Localised service pages, forms, confirmations, account content, notifications, property information and status labels support international customers.

02

Translation ordering

Customers upload documents, receive a document-length estimate, review service options, pay online and track progress through their account.

03

Layered document reading

Text, DOCX, PDFs and images use local extraction first, with server OCR and vision processing only when simpler methods cannot read them reliably.

04

Customer accounts

Request history, status, document access, communication preferences, payment continuation and secure completed files replace fragmented email exchanges.

05

Property management

Staff can prepare structured listings from natural descriptions and images, then review missing information before saving or publishing.

06

Administrative control

Customers, orders, translations, properties, files, payments, notifications, settings and audit events are managed in one operational workspace.

DOCUMENT READING

Use the simplest reliable method first.

Plain text and Word documents are read in the browser. PDFs are checked for a usable text layer, while images first use local OCR. Scanned or unreliable files move to controlled server-side processing and vision OCR.

Files are resized or compressed when appropriate, long PDF operations report progress and failed extraction leads to a clear manual route rather than a misleading zero-value estimate.

Local extraction

Faster, more private processing for files the browser can read reliably.

Server and vision fallback

Scanned pages and poor-quality images are processed only when needed.

Explicit manual route

Unreadable documents never silently become empty documents.

PROPERTY LISTINGS

Describe the property.
Complete the facts.

Staff can begin with a natural description or uploaded photographs. AI extracts supported fields, identifies what is missing and asks focused follow-up questions.

01

Structured extraction

Known details such as location, price, property type and visible features are merged into an editable listing.

02

Missing-field guidance

The assistant distinguishes provided, extracted and required information instead of forcing staff through a long form.

03

Factual image analysis

Visible features can be identified without inventing dimensions, ownership or condition details that images cannot prove.

04

Two validation gates

Partial work can be saved as a draft, while deterministic rules still decide whether a listing is complete enough to publish.

CONTROLLED AI

AI assists. The application decides.

Separate AI services support vision OCR, document classification, property image analysis, descriptions and conversational field extraction.

Pricing, required fields, payment state, permissions, storage and publication remain controlled by normal application rules. AI suggestions stay reviewable and editable.

THE OUTCOME

A connected digital platform for international services in Italy.

OOItaly brings guided customer self-service, structured administration, layered document processing and AI-assisted property workflows into one platform.

The central product decision is that AI handles language, images and repetitive interpretation while the application remains responsible for validation, permissions, pricing, payments and final decisions. Performance and conversion figures are intentionally excluded until verified analytics are available.
