The ASD Diagnostics team needed to manage the same complexity across orders, providers and clinical stages without relying on disconnected spreadsheets or manual handovers. Medical, consent, payment and audit information also needed to remain secure and traceable.
A conventional ecommerce system could not safely represent this combination of clinical and commercial requirements.

Orders can contain services from several providers, with separate patient information and collection requirements for individual tests. The platform supports adults and children, consent records, referral attribution, vouchers, staged payments and consultation account requirements.
Critical rules are enforced on the server as well as in the interface. Product and provider availability is checked before payment, reducing the risk of invalid orders being created through an alternative route.

Products are grouped by laboratory, material type and fulfilment requirement. The platform prepares the documents required for each service while limiting information to what that provider needs.
Designed to fail safely.
Healthcare and payment information requires stronger controls than a typical online store. Administrative access, sensitive documents, consent evidence and financial identifiers are protected throughout the platform.
If the system cannot match a historical service or payment with confidence, it stops and requests review rather than making an assumption.
